Speaker Bio: 

Derrick is the founder and managing director of Connevate Group, a technology solution organisation that has been established since 2017, with the purpose of empowering internal audit teams with technology solutions. Together with his team, they have helped many organizations in a variety of industries, such as telcos, retail, real estate, manufacturing, and government sectors, to develop their audit analytics capabilities in order to build up their audit management processes and to move to Continuous Auditing through the use of data analytics solutions in order to improve their audit management processes.

 In his previous role, Derrick was the Country Manager for ACL Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Having helped many internal audit teams embark on their journey toward data analytics, he has also learned that there are many common challenges that need to be overcome as part of this CAAT adoption process. With the proper process planning and the right training for the staff, Derrick believes that many Internal Auditors can benefit from data analytics solutions, as it can make internal audit work more efficient. This will result in more effective and streamlined audit processes.
